Underemployed?

FACT: Gallup tracks the percentage of U.S. adults, aged 18 and older, who are underemployed, unemployed, and employed full-time. They consider someone underemployed if they are working part time (but want full time work) or are unemployed. As of October, 2014, the national underemployment rate was 15% (of which 6.4% were unemployed). Note that this figure does not include people who are in jobs below their capabilities and earning far less than what they desire.

Being underemployed normally results in reduced income, prestige, and options.
